Ginseng is one of the oldest residual plants on the earth. In the tertiary, angiosperms flourished on the earth, and their life span in the natural environment was usually around several decades. The regeneration ability of wild ginseng is very strong, and it can grow for hundreds or even thousands of years under suitable conditions. But the thousand-year-old ginseng, like endangered animals, is very rare. Once it appears, it is basically sky-high.
It is said that on June 2, 2004, a wild ginseng weighing 75 or 8 grams appeared at the ginseng festival in Tonghanchun Hall of the Old Town God Temple. After identification, this strain of ginseng has gone through a thousand years of history in Changbai Mountain, Jilin Province. When it was discovered by farmers, it weighed more than 3 grams. It is the heaviest thousand-year-old ginseng so far and has extremely high medicinal value.
