Milk Cookies Afternoon Tea Dessert

- Main Ingredients -

Unsalted Butter | 80G Powdered Sugar | 60G Plain Flour | 115G Corn Starch | 65G Powdered Milk | 40G Egg | 1pc (Shelled and weighs about 50G)

- Directions -

1. Soften unsalted butter and add powdered sugar and beat until whitish, then add the egg and whisk to combine.

2. Sift in mixed flour (flour, starch, milk powder) and mix to form a dough.

3. Divide into small portions, roll into balls, and press with a fork; my dough was a little dry, and the pressing produced some natural cracks. Looking at the finished product of the original recipe there is nothing cracked, so guessing that my powdered milk absorbed too much water. Because the milk candy made from that powdered milk I wrote about earlier also absorbed water too much better than everyone else.

4. Press once more in the direction of the vertical lines to form a lattice pattern, complete all the biscuits, and bake in a preheated 170℃ oven for 20 minutes.
