What are the traditional desserts in China?
Cold cake, sticky cake. There are two kinds of rice and rice noodles. Rice-made cold cakes, such as lotus root cake, lemon cold cake, dragon beard cake and jujube paste cake, are generally the color of the raw materials themselves, crystal clear. The most eaten sticky cakes are New Year's rice cakes. Glutinous rice cake, called Jiangmi cake in the north, is the most common cake. The glutinous rice is steamed with water, wrapped in a clean wet cloth, put into a chopping board and crushed, then put into a rectangular wooden frame and pressed flat. After cooling, the wooden frame is removed, cut into small long pieces and sprinkled with white sugar. Some of them are sandwiched with jam, red bean paste and jujube paste.
