Lotus root ribbons, anciently known as lotus root whips, lotus root vegetables, silver seedling vegetables. Also known as lotus root heart vegetable, lotus root tip, lotus root belt, lotus seedling, lotus root belt is a young rhizome of lotus, consisting of an internode and terminal bud at the top of the rhizome. It is a homologous organ with the lotus root, and when the conditions are right, the lotus root expands and becomes the root (so, to be precise, the root is an expanded rhizome). The most suitable time to pick is after the summer rains, along the "green stakes" sticking out of the water down to the roots in the silt, at the end of the two roots connected to the seedlings, the thick one is this. The lower the pile, the more tender the root tips below.
