The Graduate School of YSU does not have a graduate program in interior design or environmental arts related majors.

YSU's graduate education began in the early 1960s, and it was the first batch of doctoral and master's degree-granting units approved by the State Council. The university now has 22 authorized points for doctoral degrees in first-level disciplines and 47 authorized points for master's degrees in first-level disciplines. There are 2 doctoral degree categories and 19 master's degree categories.

There are 2 national key disciplines, 1 national key (cultivation) discipline, 1 key discipline of the Ministry of Agriculture, 5 provincial advantageous disciplines, 1 provincial key sequence discipline, 6 provincial key disciplines of first-level disciplines, and 33 key disciplines of first-level disciplines in the university. There are more than 2400 tutors for doctoral and master's degree students (including external tutors). There are more than 10,000 students enrolled in various types of doctoral and master's degree programs, and a cultivation pattern with different characteristics and coordinated development of academic and professional degrees has been formed.
