Gowasu/Kvas is a low-alcohol beverage popular in Russian, Ukrainian and other Eastern European countries. It is made by dry fermentation of bread, and its color is similar to that of beer but slightly red. Because its alcohol content is only about1%. In Russian cities, Kvas can also refer to black tea fungus.
