1. Chestnut storage method:
(1) After buying chestnuts, spread them out in a cool and ventilated place, let them blow for 3-4 days, and then wash them clean. , put in the water pot and cook for 3-4 minutes, cook until half cooked, take it out and let it air to normal temperature, then put it into fresh-keeping bags, seal it, and put it in the refrigerator to freeze, so that it will not go bad no matter how long it takes. Yes, the chestnuts are dried first, then steamed and saccharified, making them taste very sweet.
(2) This second method is more suitable for preserving the freshest chestnuts. For fresh chestnuts that have just been picked, the fresher the better. It is best to use freshly peeled chestnuts without peeling off the shell. There is no need to dry or dry it, just put it in a bag and put it in the refrigerator and freezer. It will look like it was just picked during the Chinese New Year.
(3) Bury fresh chestnuts directly in the sand. Be careful not to pile them all together. They must be scattered. 2. Storage method of sweet potatoes:
Indoor storage: Sweet potatoes are afraid of cold. When the temperature is too low, they will freeze and form a hard core. They will not be steamed or cooked well; If the temperature is too high, sprouts will form again. It is best to control the room temperature at around 15°C. If sweet potatoes are damp, they can easily be invaded by pathogens and cause rot. It is best to store them in a breathable wooden box. If there are no wooden boxes, wooden boards should be placed where the sweet potatoes are stacked and against the wall, and the potato pile should be covered with something to prevent moisture. During the warm day, windows should be opened appropriately for ventilation to keep the indoor air fresh and prevent cold wind from blowing in. It is best to put the sweet potatoes bought from the market in the sun for a few hours to reduce moisture in the wound and promote healing. When handling it, handle it with care to avoid bruises.
(2) Well and cellar storage: Choose a place with high terrain, solid soil, and low groundwater level, and dig a wellbore downward, usually about 1 meter in diameter and 5 to 6 meters deep. The size of the storage room can be determined according to the amount of storage. The storage room should be padded with 10 to 15 centimeters of dry sand, and sweet potatoes should be placed on it. Sweet potatoes can only be filled 70% full to allow room for ventilation, otherwise moisture and heat will aggravate rot.
(3) Slice and dry storage method: Slice the sweet potatoes and put them on the house or in a sunny, dry and ventilated place to dry. Be careful not to get wet with rain or snow. After drying, store it in a dry place indoors and soak it in water before eating.
