Six stories of Su Shi

1. Retorts

According to legend, Su Dongpo was walking with Wang Anshi when he saw that the foundation of a house had been moved and one wall was leaning eastward. . Wang Anshi wrote the first sentence to play on Dongpo: "The east slope of this wall is sloped!" Su Dongpo threw his head back and laughed, then recited the second couplet to ridicule Wang Anshi: "It's because Anshi passed!" The inlaid name is What a clever pun.

2. Secretly assisting the groom

When Qin Shaoyou married Su Xiaomei, he was faced with difficulties one after another. When he arrived at the door of the new house, Su Xiaomei made another couplet: behind closed doors, push out the moon in front of the window. Qin Guan thought for a long time but could not write a couplet. Su Dongpo wanted to help, so he picked up a stone in the distance and threw it into the lake. Qin Shaoyou was inspired and blurted out: Throw the stone to open the sky under the water.

3. There is no end to learning

When Su Shi was young, he was very talented. He read poetry and books extensively, was well versed in classics and history, and was good at composition. Therefore, he was praised by people and felt proud of himself. Also cute along with it.

One day, Su Shi wrote a couplet in front of his door: "Know all the characters in the world; read all the books in the world." The pairing of "extremely" and "everywhere" vividly depicts Su Shi's pride at that time. Unexpectedly, a few days later, an old man with gray hair and a boyish face came to Su Shi's house to "ask for advice". He asked Su Shi to recognize the book he had brought. Su Shi didn't care. He took it and took a look. He was suddenly startled. He didn't understand a single word in the book. The proud and arrogant Su Shi couldn't help but feel ashamed, so he had to say no to the old man again and again. The old man walked away with a smile.

Su Shi was so ashamed that he ran to the door and added two characters to each couplet. His state of mind was completely new, and his neighbors were all impressed: "Be determined to read all the characters in the world; determined to read all the books in the world." ”

4. The temple is very cool

When Su Dongpo visited Mogan Mountain, he sat in a temple. When the presiding monk saw a stranger in the temple, he said casually: "Sit down." Then he shouted to the young monk: "Tea."

After the two sat down and talked, the presiding monk noticed that the other person was blurting out words. , thinking that this person was extraordinary, invited the guest into the side room to talk. After entering the room, the presiding monk said politely, "Please sit down!" and called the young monk, "Tea!" After asking again, I found out that the visitor was the famous Su Dongpo. The presiding monk quickly introduced him into the living room with bows and respectful greetings. He said: "Please sit down!" and told the young monk: "Honor the fragrant tea!" Before Su Dongpo left, the host monk asked him to write a couplet. Su Dongpo was confident, smiled and waved his hand, and wrote in an instant: Sit, please sit, please sit down. Tea, toast to tea, toast to fragrant tea.

5. A bright light

One day, Su Dongpo and his brother-in-law Qin Shao went out of the city to play in the countryside. They saw a "Lei Bridge" built with three stones on the path. Su Dongpo kicked the stone bridge with his foot and recited the first couplet at the same time: Kick the three stones of Lei Bridge.

He looked back at Qin Shaoyou and asked him to answer the second couplet. Qin Shaoyou thought about it for a long time but didn't answer the second line. He was depressed when he returned home. Seeing her husband's displeased look, Su Xiaomei just asked what happened. When she asked, she found out that it was because of a couplet. Without saying anything, she wrote the word "out" on a piece of paper and cut it into two sections with scissors. Qin Shaoyou suddenly realized and said the second line: "Cut out the word Liangzhongshan"

6. Perfunctory wealthy family

It is said that in order to find a suitable husband, Su Xiaomei once chose a son-in-law through writing. As soon as the news came out, countless suitors submitted their proposals. Among them was a rich man named Fang Ruoxu. He had been in love with his younger sister for a long time, and he quickly applied for the election after hearing the news. He submitted a few poems that he was proud of. Unexpectedly, when the younger sister saw them, they were as pale as white water, so she picked up a pen and wrote a couplet on them: There was little talent in the pen and no ambition in the heart.

Su Dongpo was very anxious when he saw the couplet written by his younger sister. The wealthy family of the Fang Mansion could not afford to offend, so in order to avoid disputes, they quietly added a word after each of the couplets of the younger sister, and changed the couplets to: The talent in the pen is rare, and the strategy in the mind is endless.

Fang Ruoxu was really overjoyed after reading it. He was eager to see Su Xiaomei to express his sincerity. Su Dongpo knew that his younger sister didn't like him at all, and he was afraid that the joke would end badly, so he hurriedly made an excuse to stop him, saying: "My sister has some literary talents, but she is not good-looking, with a long face and a protruding forehead. If you don't believe me, I will read you a poem." I know: A tear of lovesickness last year has not flowed down my cheek. Before I even took three or five steps out of the room, my forehead reached the painting hall first.

How did Fang Ruoxu know that Su Dongpo was lying to him? He really thought that Su Xiaomei was ugly, so he left in frustration.
