The paper tiger is usually yellow with black markings, and has a pair of fangs drawn at the corner of the mouth. When worshiping, it is necessary to feed it with fat pig blood so that it will no longer hurt others with its mouth. Then, raw pork is smeared on the mouth of the paper tiger to make it full of oil and water, so that it cannot open its mouth to talk about people's right and wrong.

2. Eating pears during the awakening of insects

There is a folk custom of "eating pears during the awakening of insects". There is no trace of the origin of Jingzhe eating pears, but there is such a story passed down from generation to generation among the people in Qixian County. Legend has it that the ancestor of the famous Qu family of Shanxi merchants, Qu Ji, was the eldest son of Shangdang County. In the early years of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, his two sons, Xin and Yi, exchanged the coarse cloth and red dates of Qixian County for the Luma and Pears from Shangdang, and traveled back and forth between the two counties. The land made profits from it, and over time, he accumulated savings and settled down in Qi County. During the reign of Yongzheng, the Fourteenth Generation Qu Baichuan went to the west entrance. It was the day of Jingzhe. His father took out pears for him to eat and said that his ancestors sold pears and started a business. After going through many hardships, they settled in Qixian County. Today, Jingzhe, you have to go to the west entrance. It is the right time to eat pears. Let you never forget your ancestors and work hard to start a business to honor your ancestors. Qu Baichuan went to the west entrance to do business and became rich, and named the trade name "Chang Yuan Hou". Jingzhe is caused by thunder. The ancients imagined that the God of Thunder was a great god with a bird's beak and wings. He held a hammer in one hand and struck many celestial drums surrounding him with the other hand, making a rumble of thunder. On the day of Jingzhe, thunder gods beat the drums in heaven, and humans also use this opportunity to beat the drum skin. "Zhou Li", Volume 40, Chapter "Waving People" says: "Any time a drum is used, it will be the day when the stings start."
