There are three cherry bases in Wenchuan, which are located in Sanguanmiao Village, Radish Village and Buwa Village of Mianchi Town. Due to different regions, the ripening time of Wenchuan cherry is also different. Sanguanmiao Village and Buwa Village matured in late May. Sanguanmiao Village in Mianmian Town is the earliest place where cherries ripen in Wenchuan County, and almost every household grows cherries. From May 12, cherries below 1600 meters above sea level gradually ripened.
The cherries in Radish Village don't mature until mid-June. Radish Village is located on the mountain at an altitude of 2000 meters in Wenchuan County. Almost every household grows cherries, with an area of 300 mu. Because the altitude of cherries is too high, cherries generally mature in mid-June.
Main distribution areas of Wenchuan cherry:
Yanshan Village, Yanmen Town 1
(1) The fruit ripens earliest and has a large area. Shaoshan Village is located in the west bank of Minjiang River Valley, with an overall elevation of 1300 ~ 1500m. It belongs to the ethnic settlement of A Qiang in the Mid-Levels, where there is a large fruit planting base. From the valley to semi-Shan Ye, red cherries are everywhere.
(2) Shaoshan Village, Yanmen Town is one of the earliest places where Wenchuan cherry ripens, and it is also the first place to realize cherry freedom.
(3) Almost every household here grows cherries, and simple fruit farmers still insist on planting fruits in the most natural way, without pesticides and fertilizers, which is green and natural.
2. Mianzhu Town
(1) Wenchuan has a large area and convenient transportation, and is known as the "hometown of cherries". Every May, the cherry will slowly hang a festive red color, which is rich in red on terraces and hillsides.
(2) There are good and sufficient lighting conditions here, and the rich trace minerals in the soil make Wenchuan cherries crisp, sweet and juicy, which is sought after by people.
(3) Mianchang Town is also one of the places where cherries ripen earlier in Wenchuan County, and several villages have very large planting areas.
3. Cook Village, Cook Township
(1) The planting area is large and the fruit cycle is long. The cherry picking area in Cook Town covers an area of more than 65,438 mu.
(2) Many farmhouses are open to the public and tourists can pick them.
(3) Cherry with dark red surface has huge, solid and juicy fruit and sweet taste.
(4) Cherry in Cook Village has a long maturity, which lasts from mid-May to mid-June, during which it can be picked, and now many farmers can eat it.
