1, Wuchang fish is freshwater fish. Wuchang fish (Megalobrama amblycephala), the scientific name of the group head bream, commonly known as bream, grass bream, etc., belongs to the order of carp (Cypriniformes), carp (Cyprinidae), bleak subfamily (Cultrinae), the genus of pomfrets (Megalobrama). As a fine freshwater fish endemic to China, Wuchang fish is a new species identified by Prof. Yi Buru in 1955.

2, Wuchang fish body shape is flat, back elevation is obvious, head and mouth are smaller, the upper and lower ode without keratin cover, mostly distributed in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River in several large and medium-sized lakes, mainly produced in Hubei.
