Silver carp is gentle, does not like jumping, and lives in the middle of water. Silver carp is a typical fish that feeds on plankton, and it feeds on plankton all its life. Filter-feeding, mainly eating zooplankton such as rotifers, cladocera and copepods, but also eating some phytoplankton and artificial feed. Its suitable growth temperature is the same as that of grass carp, and it is fattened in tributaries of rivers and lakes in the growing season. In the low temperature season, the appetite decreases, but they still eat, mostly concentrated in riverbeds and deep lakes for the winter.
