Pineapple is a relatively common fresh tropical fruit. It is generally grown and developed only in tropical climates. Pineapples are generally grown in soil. Many people don’t know that pineapples can actually be grown hydroponically. But there are also environmental constraints, just like soil cultivation. So how to actually practice hydroponics and how to operate it, I will share with you below. 1. Preparation for hydroponics
For hydroponics, you must prepare intact pineapples, cut off the fruits, and leave the head with leaves and a part of the fruit, about 2 cm in length. Prepare glassware in advance. The opening must be about 5 cm, and the depth should be 10 cm. There are also nutrient solutions available, so prepare them in advance. You also need to prepare in advance soil-raised flower pots for transplanting in the middle and later stages. It is also possible not to transplant. But without transplanting, growth and development will be slower. Remove the rotten leaves from the pineapple head. 2. Hydroponic method
Remove the rotten leaves and young leaves of the pineapple head, and then dry the cut wound in a cool and ventilated place. Only after there is no juice can it be soaked in water, otherwise it will rot easily and the water will Appropriate addition of nutrients to the solution can promote root growth. The utensils need to be cleaned and disinfected before use. Note that only the fleshy part touches the river surface, and the leaves cannot be touched, as they will rot. 3. Maintenance and management
Generally, the molding water needs to be replaced in two to three days, otherwise it will be easy to rot. However, it is too hard to replace and the roots will not grow. You can gradually replace it more. In the middle and later stages, you can replace less, for example, you can add a certain amount of time after the roots grow. It can be determined by observing the actual situation of growth and development. It can be transplanted into the soil about once the roots are full. In this way, growth and development will be concluded faster. If you don't want to draw conclusions and just appreciate it, you don't need to transplant it. 4. Transplanting and planting
For transplanting, you need to prepare containers and nutrient soil. The nutrient soil can be added with river sand, peat soil, etc., and it also needs to be sterilized and disinfected with drugs. Clean and disinfect the utensil, put a layer of soil on it, put the pineapple in it, keep the rhizome stretched, and slowly fill it with soil. Fill the soil above the mouth of the pot and tamp the soil gently. After watering, the soil will move down to the mouth of the pot. The rest is routine maintenance and management.
