Food habits of the fathead minnow:
Food: filter feeder, mainly eating zooplankton such as rotifers, branchiostomes, copepods (e.g., Cyperdaphnia ), and some phytoplankton (e.g., diatoms and cyanobacteria < strong>) and artificial feed.
