What kind of tea is Sijiqing?
Sijiqing, also known as Red Ilex, Oil-leaf Tree and Tree Top, is the dried leaf of Ilex China, a plant of Ilex genus Ilex of Ilex family, which is mainly distributed in the southern slope of Qinling Mountain, the Yangtze River basin and its vast area south.

Sijiqing is ovoid or lanceolate, 6- 12cm long, with a sharp or tapering apex, a wedge-shaped base and slightly serrated edges. The upper surface is leathery, brown or grayish green, and the lower surface is light in color. Slight breathing, bitterness and astringency. It's better to be dry, green and without branches.
