Daily liquid intake
Generally speaking, for infants, the daily liquid intake should be about 150mL per kilogram of body weight, and the amount of milk powder should be provided to the baby according to 100- 120mL per kilogram of body weight per day, which means that it can be calculated according to 30-50mL of water per kilogram of body weight per day. It is best to replenish water to your baby 2 hours after the last feeding.
When do you need to replenish water?
It can be seen by observing the baby's lips, skin and urine frequency. If the baby's lips and skin are dry, Bao Ma should feed him some water. Diapers have good water absorption, and it usually takes 4 hours to replace them. If the diapers are lifted lightly when it is time to change, it means that the baby may be short of water. The color of normal urine is transparent. If it is not, Bao Ma should pay attention to replenish water to the baby.
