How McDonald's Chicken McNuggets Are Made
Promoted in 1983, the Chicken McNuggets are made from small boneless chicken nuggets coated in breadcrumbs, which consist of thigh meat and chicken breasts, 50% each, and were invented by a chef, René Aaron, who pushed off from McDonald's, and who also invented the Chicken McNugget sauce. Chicken McNuggets are coated on the outside with a layer of batter, then a layer of bread crumbs, and finally a layer of custard batter. After being pre-fried, it is quickly frozen to preserve its freshness and quality. Chicken McNuggets are served with a sweet and sour sauce made from Japanese sauce and pureed apricot, and a garlic sauce made from sugar, vinegar, jalape?o, salt and garlic.
