There are two types of cerebral echinococcosis in sheep: acute type and chronic type. At the initial stage, the worm invades the brain, causing local inflammation and edema. The sick sheep have symptoms of meningitis or encephalitis, and their body temperature is above 39℃. Some of them are excited, some are depressed, left behind and unable to lie down. If they are not treated in time, the sick sheep will turn to death. The symptoms are as follows: 1. 1 When the worm is parasitic on the side of the cerebral hemisphere, the sick sheep leans to one side of the parasite, turns around to the affected side, and the opposite eye becomes blind. 1.2 When parasitic on the frontal lobe of the brain, the sheep's head is low to the chest, and it is timid when walking, with its knees raised or moving in a straight line, and its head stands still on the obstacle. 1.3 When parasitic in the occipital lobe of the brain, the head leans back and cannot bow. 1.4 sick sheep retreat when parasitized in the brain chamber. When 1.5 parasitized in cerebellum, the sick sheep became nervous, easily tired, stiff in gait and finally paralyzed. 1.6 When parasitic on the brain surface, the skull can be softened by pressure.
