The story begins with the clear singing voice of Miho Morikawa, and while on the surface it's a lighthearted and cute work, it has its ups and downs. A comedic tale unfolds between John, a young inventor, and a band of thieves who are always watching them for some reason. In the 34th episode of ......, in the 35th episode, "The Secret of Blue Water", it is suddenly revealed that Nadia is an alien. Nadia and her father, Captain Nim, are from the distant M.78 Nebula. When she realizes that she is an alien, Nadia denies these facts and even tries to commit suicide. ...... The story takes a turn for the worse, and the audience is mesmerized by the many surprising aspects of the story.
While the fact that Nadia is an alien is made public, the mystery of human creation is also solved. Humans are aliens who arrived on Earth and were created by utilizing the genetics of the ancient Atlanteans. When seeing the specimen of human's failed work in the picture, the viewing party gets a feeling of nausea and coldness. In addition, the significance of seeing a huge model of the first human beings between the walls is extremely profound. It is likely that the starting point for the highly successful "Evangelion EVA" was this "Nadia of the Uncanny Sea".
In the last five episodes of the story, the Nautilus, a former submarine, is resurrected as a powerful space battleship, and GAINAX pulled out all the stops in the production of the images to create an unprecedented and unparalleled feeling.
