Chicken: Half a chicken.
Taro: One catty.
Ginger, onion, garlic, star anise, cinnamon, twig, pepper, chopped pepper, cooking wine, soy sauce and sugar.
Methods/steps
Wash the chicken pieces and marinate them with salt and white pepper for half an hour.

First, stir-fry the chopped peppers into red oil.

Pour in the chicken pieces and stir-fry until the chicken pieces are colored. Add water until the chicken pieces are about an inch long. After the chicken pieces are boiled, simmer for 40 minutes.
After 40 minutes, pour in taro and cook for about 20 minutes.
