Heyuan Vocational and Technical College

is a full-time general higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Guangdong Province and registered with the Ministry of Education. It is a model higher vocational college in Guangdong Province; it was selected into the “Hundred Schools Project” in China.

The predecessor of the college was Longchuan County Rural Normal School founded in 1930. In March 1935, with the approval of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, the school was renamed Guangdong Provincial Laolong Normal School; during the "Cultural Revolution" the school Enrollment was stopped and the school resumed enrollment in 1973; in September 1976, the school restored its name to Guangdong Laolong Normal School; in 2001, with the approval of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, Laolong Normal School was upgraded to Heyuan Vocational and Technical College.
