The whole plant is derived from Bidens trifoliate of Stipa in Compositae. Harvest in summer and autumn, remove impurities, fresh use or dry in the sun.

The taste is bitter, sweet and flat.

Function: clearing away heat and toxic materials, nourishing yin and astringing sweat. Can be used for treating common cold, tonsillitis, pharyngolaryngitis, enteritis, dysentery, hepatitis, urinary tract infection, tuberculosis, night sweats and amenorrhea; Topical treatment of furuncle, eczema and tinea.

Usage and dosage 0.5 ~1; Appropriate amount for external use, mashed with fresh grass and rubbed with fresh grass juice.
