The simple works of soap carving are as follows:
Preparation materials: carving knife, soap.
1. First carve a cylinder in the center of the soap, and then round the edges of the cylinder to serve as the center of the flower.
2. Cut a slit off the center to complete the first petal.
3. Complete the remaining petals in the same way. Note the overlap between the petals, with the beginning of the next petal being the last 1/5 of the previous petal. It is more appropriate to make 2 to 3 layers of petals in the center of the flower.
4. Next, start making the outer petals. First, flatten the outer part of the flower center, and then carve out the other side of the petals. Same as the previous step, the next petal overlaps the previous petal. So 2 to 3 layers.
5. When carving, attention should be paid to staggering the petals of different layers. The direction of the petals spreading out, etc. After the carving is completed, gently brush away the debris with a brush~
Precautions for soap carving
1. It is very important to choose the appropriate soap material. The hardness, color and texture of the soap all affect the appearance of the final product. Generally, soap with moderate hardness, pure color and uniform texture is more suitable for carving. According to personal preferences and creative themes, you can choose different colors of soap to match.
2. Before carving, cut the soap into the appropriate size and shape. When cutting, be careful to keep the edges neat and avoid roughness. The cut soap block can be placed in a ventilated and dry place and allowed to dry naturally for a period of time for subsequent engraving.
3. When engraving, make sure the tools are clean and sharp. Commonly used engraving tools include knives, carving knives, scrapers, etc. When using these tools, keep your hands steady and use moderate force to avoid breaking the soap due to excessive force. During the carving process, water can be used appropriately to lubricate the tool to keep it sharp.
4. When carving soap, creativity and design are crucial. You can create based on personal preferences and themes, and use your imagination to incorporate patterns and textures into your pieces. You can refer to some soap carving tutorials and cases to learn from other people's experiences and techniques.
5. It should be noted that after the soap carving is completed, it should be placed in a dry and cool place to avoid direct sunlight and high temperature. To maintain the quality and beauty of your soap, wrap it in plastic wrap to prevent moisture from evaporating.
