but nowadays, maybe you are also beginning to realize that
vegetarianism seems to have become a global trend!
Maybe you're wondering,
won't a long-term vegetarian diet really affect your health?
Will being a vegetarian be ridiculed by those around you?
......
Phoenix Buddhism editor here to share with you a 90-year-old girl's real vegetarian feelings.
The 90-year-old girl has been a vegetarian for five years
It was on the Internet that I found the vegetarian feelings of this 90-year-old girl.
The girl is not a vegetarian for "monasticism",
She thinks that the result of the current "improvement of the standard of living" is that people consume a lot of meat, not to mention that there is too much killing, and people themselves have brought a variety of chronic diseases.
She chose to be a vegetarian because she wanted to stay healthy.
So what changes did being a vegetarian for 5 years bring to her? Let's take a look at her confession!
null
1. Rarely catch a cold
Since junior high school, I've been catching colds a lot, and it was the worst when I was in college, and I couldn't get over it for almost two or three months of the year.
When I first started vegetarianism, I caught a cold once, but I got over it quickly, and I didn't catch a cold for the next year or so, and then I caught one or two colds a year.
Now even when I get a cold and fever, I get over it quickly and don't stay groggy like I used to when I had a cold.
2, acne disappeared
Originally, there are pimples on both sides of the nose, and I have used a lot of methods to get rid of them.
After I went vegan, I didn't pay any special attention to it, but now it's all gone.
Now, when I'm nervous or in a bad mood, I get pimples, but they're not like the ones I used to get, the ones that are really nasty and have a big white spot in the middle. It's a miracle.
3, appetite better, stomach pain disappeared
Three years ago when I was a senior, I overeat, resulting in stomach pain, very tortured.
After I became a vegetarian, my overeating habit began to improve. I'm really glad I started eating vegetarian then, and now my stomach pains have disappeared.
While I still like to eat, there is no longer a time when I can't control myself, which is also related to clear thinking!
4, the bowel movement
To put it in detail, the human intestinal tract and the concentration of gastric acid, are supposed to be vegetarian, meat stagnation for too long, the dry season is naturally prone to constipation.
I used to get constipated after a big meal in the spring and fall, and while it wasn't serious compared to a lot of other girls, I didn't have that problem at all after being vegan for a while. And it's been 5 years now and the poop doesn't have that stink anymore.
5. Regular menstruation
It wasn't very regular before, but now it's regular, and the menstrual cramps are much better. If you add in practicing yoga seriously, it won't hurt anymore.

Five years of vegetarianism has brought this 90-year-old girl not only physical changes, but also spiritual changes. Let's continue to read her confession!
To be honest, when I first started to contact vegetarianism, I heard and saw that the so-called vegetarianism brings about a change of mind, and I felt that it was simply nonsense, and expressed my disdain. But after five years of vegetarianism, proved my own narrow-mindedness.
1, inexplicably feel happy: happy, simply from the heart of the happy, vegetarianism two months after inexplicably feel happy, how to say, only their own experience to know.
2, state of mind and thinking clearer than before: not before eating vegetarian, occasionally feel irritable, there will be anonymous fire, sometimes feel easy to mix and heavy; after eating vegetarian spirit surprisingly good, state of mind and thinking much clearer than before, not a little bit, in the event of some easy to figure out, good mood.
All in all, the benefits of being a vegetarian are many, and I am no longer skeptical.
Eating vegetarianism accumulates blessings
No matter what kind of beings in this world, what they value most is their own life,
Therefore, the Buddhist sect takes not killing as the first precept.
Buddhism advocates a vegetarian diet, and does not tolerate harming living beings in order to fill one's own mouth and stomach.
Being a vegetarian is a very compassionate act.
Buddhism believes that if one practises vegetarianism after becoming a believer in Buddhism, it is the most blessed thing to do.
So when one starts to be a vegetarian, one is also accumulating blessings for oneself.
Maybe you can't be a vegetarian for a long time, but you can try to be a vegetarian once in a while.
With the 2019 Buddha's Birthday coming up,
PhoenixBuddhist.com has launched a global initiative on "vegetarianism on Buddha's Birthday".
If you want to accumulate blessings for yourself and your family, you can do so by eating vegetarian food on the Buddha's Birthday.
