Tilapia, commonly known as: African crucian carp, non-crucian carp, Vietnamese fish, Nanyang crucian carp and so on. It used to refer to the genus non-crucian carp with Mozambique as the model origin, but now it is the common name of several species of fish such as non-crucian carp and non-crucian carp with cichlids. Collectively referred to as Tilapia in English. At present, it is the key freshwater cultured fish in the world aquaculture, and it is regarded as one of the main sources of animal protein in the future. Usually live in fresh water, can also live in salt water with different salt content, and can also live in shallow water of lakes, rivers and ponds.
