Silkworm pupa into moth is usually about 10-15 days. Four days after the cocoon, the silkworm will become a pupa, after almost two weeks, the pupa body begins to soften and wrinkle, this time the pupa will begin to metamorphose into a moth.

The life of a silkworm is almost forty days, the newborn silkworm baby black like ants, so we usually call the newborn silkworm baby "ants silkworm". The newborn silkworms are covered with fine hairs, and they start to eat in 40-50 minutes after birth.

The silkworms feed on mulberry leaves, and after a period of time they begin to shed their skins. The shedding stage is like hibernation, and the silkworms are in a state of not eating or drinking. After shedding the skin of the silkworm is equivalent to another stage of evolution, silkworms shed skin once is equivalent to grow a year old, silkworms are required to shed skin four times before they begin to spit silk cocoon.

The cocoon takes two days and two nights to form, and after the cocoon is formed, it needs to shed another layer of skin inside the cocoon. After shedding another layer of skin, the chrysalis is formed. Almost another ten days of time, the chrysalis will evolve into a moth to break out of the cocoon. After coming out, the female moth's tail will emit a special odor to lure the male moths to cross their tails, and the male moths will die after crossing their tails. The female moth will lay her eggs and slowly leave.

The male and female silkworm moths are also different, with the females moving more slowly because they are larger. Male moths are smaller so they crawl faster.
