Types of crabs
Deep-sea crabs: crabs that live in deep-sea areas, such as the giant mitten crab.
Land crabs: crabs that live on land, such as the common gray land crab.
Beach crabs: crabs that live on sandy beaches, such as the coconut crab.
Potted crabs: crabs that live in potted plants, such as the flowerpot crab.
River crabs: crabs that live in rivers, lakes and other waters, such as the Chinese mitten crab.
Stream crabs: crabs that live in streams, such as the Thin Stream Crab.
There are about 8,000 species of crabs***, and this is just a simple categorization here, in fact, there are many kinds of crabs, and each kind of crab has its unique characteristics.
