It is best to soak snails in water for two days after buying them, so that snails can spit out the sediments in their bodies.
If floating snails are dead, it is best not to soak them for more than four days.

Living habits:
The main feeding organ of snails is the tooth tongue, which is used to scrape the bottom and incidental food. Snails are omnivores. In the natural environment, it mainly eats the tender stems and leaves of aquatic plants, algae, bacteria and organic debris, and also filters plankton, and likes night activities and eating.
When the water temperature is around 15℃, snails start to move and eat. When the optimum temperature is 20~28℃, when the temperature is above 30℃, snails will shrink into their shells, gather in the shade or dive into the soil to escape the heat. When the water temperature exceeds 40℃, snails will die.
It has strong adaptability to drought and cold. When the water temperature is below 8℃, snails will dive into mud holes to hibernate. Next spring, when the water temperature rises to about 15℃, snails will enter the cave again to eat.
River snails are very sensitive to dissolved oxygen in water. When the dissolved oxygen in water drops to 3.5 mg/L, they lose their appetite. 1.5mg/L, the death began.
