Bujie in the Old Town of Kuitan Town, Huilai County, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province:
Located in Bujie in the Old Town of Kuitan Town, Huilai County, Guangdong Province, it is the former residence of General Weng Zhaoyuan (Weng Huiteng), the anti-Japanese hero who fired the first shot of the' 28' Songhu War.
It was built around 1936 and took three years to complete. The building is a gray brick cement structure, and the whole building is a traditional "pokeberry root" residential pattern in Chaoshan, or rather a "pokeberry root overlapping building" pattern (that is, on the basis of the original "pokeberry root", the bungalow building is changed into a building). It has the traditional carving techniques in Chaoshan, but the gray carving on the window and the railings are foreign, and the architectural style is westernized, and the whole style is relatively simple and heavy. Above the main entrance, the characters of "General Di", which were written by the late Qing Dynasty, are clearly legible. It turns out that there is also a couplet on both sides of the main entrance, "Will be famous for his wisdom and extraordinary achievements in the world and set a good example for Shanghai". A dozen rooms connected with "General Di" are all owned by General Weng. On the right of "Jiangjundi" is a local bank run by General Weng in 1945-Guangdong Bank, and on the left is a tin sand processing factory. These were all industries set up by General Weng in his hometown at that time. After the land reform, the "Jiangjundi" was used as a district office, followed by the people's commune office and primary school. Due to poor indoor lighting, the primary school moved away, followed by the family members of Huilai Cannery workers, and returned to Weng's family in about 1993.
