When eating, it is shaped like a figure of eight.
Knife and fork have another very important function besides the function of sending food into the mouth.
The arrangement of knives and forks conveys the signal of "during the meal" or "after the meal". It is based on this signal that the waiter judges the dining situation of the guests, so as to decide whether to clear the tableware and prepare for the next service.
Note: one side of the blade must face itself, and the blade facing others is a sign of hostility. There are two ways to place the end of a meal.
After eating, you can erect the front end of the fork, put the blade side of the knife and the fork together and put them on the plate in parallel. Next, it can be divided into English and French, either way is ok, but French is the most commonly used one.
Put your hands on the plate as much as possible to avoid falling off because of touch, and it is easier for the waiter to clean up.
