How to Grill Steak ?
Marinate nearly a pound piece of steak with salt and black pepper for 15-20 minutes. During this time, preheat the oven with the Broil (top heat) setting on for a few minutes. Place the marinated steak in a baking dish with holes in it (a foil-lined baking sheet underneath to catch the juices so it's easy to clean up). I put the bell pepper pieces on at the same time
Place the steak in the oven (with the skillet 4 inches away from the top heaters) and cook for about 8 minutes on each side, or until it's as hot as you want it to be (remove the bell peppers when they're done)
While the steak is grilling, mix together the soy sauce, water, cornstarch, rice wine, and sugar, and put it into a small saucepan, stirring as it comes to a simmer, and then turn off the heat to make a sauce to go on top of the steak
Put aside.
Cut the steak and pour the sauce over it
