Toona sinensis is a deciduous tree of Ailanthus of Sapindaceae. Its skin is gray, dry, smooth or slightly longitudinal, its crown is oblate, and it is drought-tolerant and salt-tolerant. It is distributed in most parts of China.

It is native to China and widely cultivated in southern Liaoning, Jiangxi and Fujian in the north, Gansu in the west and Shandong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang in the east.
The trunk is straight, the bark is smooth, the crown is like an umbrella, the leaves are shaded, the summer flowers are yellow, and the fruit is red in early autumn. It is a good landscaping tree species. It is the most suitable street tree species in arid and light saline-alkali areas and near factories and mines.
Breeding cultivation is mainly based on sowing and breeding. Before sowing, peel off the wings of the seeds, then soak them in water at 40℃ for a day and night, and then they can germinate neatly after sowing. Although Toona sinensis is barren-tolerant, it is necessary to strengthen fertilizer and water management at seedling stage.
