Mantis shrimp, also known as Pippi shrimp, is one of the most creative killer creatures on the earth, which can grow to more than15cm, and is called an underwater nightmare.

No creature of the same size can be its opponent. There are two predatory appendages in front of it. When attacking, these appendages can accelerate to the firing speed of .22 caliber rifle bullets, and can kill prey with the power of 1500 cattle in less than three thousandths of a second.

If humans throw a baseball at one tenth of this speed, they can throw it into synchronous orbit, so it's just a piece of cake for mantis shrimp to break human fingers.

life habit

Squid live in caves, and often dig caves at the bottom of sand or sediment in shallow sea, and the caves are mostly U-shaped. Animals in stomatopod are carnivorous and prey on small invertebrates. This kind of animal can make sound by rubbing the ventral surface of the caudal segment with its tail limb or by striking with its prey limb.

Squid is fierce and has very sharp vision. Because they are good at swimming, most of their prey are benthic creatures that are not good at swimming, including all kinds of shellfish, crabs and sea urchins. They can easily destroy the outer hard shell of their prey and enjoy the meat inside.

Mantis shrimp is very good at ambush. A strong attack can kill the enemy. Lobsters in calcified armor and crabs passing quietly on tiptoe are also the targets of mantis shrimp's attacks.
