Steps to grow a pineapple
01 Take out a pineapple, use a knife to cut the pineapple crosswise into two halves, leaving the head half.
Leave as much tissue at the bottom as you can, cut off the top bud with a knife, tear off the lower bract coat, and have the shade out to dry for 1-3 days to allow the wound to heal.
02Take a plate, pour in the right amount of water, bury the pineapple head in the water about 1cm.
Put the top bud on the root, the water level should not cover all the roots, to leave a certain distance for the roots to breathe, but you can also refer to the root of the succulent plants, the water does not touch the roots, the high humidity in the bottle to induce rooting.
03Place the tray in a light and ventilated place for three days.
04 Transplant the pineapple in a pot.
Potted pineapple has no special requirements for soil, watering does not need to be too diligent, see dry before watering. Sunshine should be sufficient, the majority of good management can start buds, from flowers to fruits about 200 days, the northern region of the flower friends should pay attention to consider the temperature problem, because the pineapple is a tropical fruit, the northern region has a heater is okay, there is no heater flower friends pay special attention to heat preservation.
Pineapple growth is slow below 15 ℃, 5 ℃ is the critical temperature of cold damage, winter must be warmed and other measures to make the greenhouse temperature to 10 ℃ or more in order to safely overwinter. The pineapple grows well under sufficient light, and the fruit has high sugar content and good quality. Too much light and accompanied by high temperatures, leaves and fruits are easy to burn.
