Rape flowers in Wuyuan, Jiangxi, bloom every March. The origin of rape flower is in Europe and Central Asia, belonging to the genus Panicum in Cruciferae. In China, rape flowers are mainly distributed in Huangshan Mountain in Wuyuan, Jiangxi, Hanzhong Basin, ten thousand mu terraces in Jiangling, Luoping Plain in Yunnan and Menyuan Plateau in Qinghai. The best viewing period of rape flower field in Wuyuan area is10 ~ March 25th, and it began to wither during Tomb-Sweeping Day in early April.
