1.1. Prepare ingredients: 10g rhubarb rice, 10g brown rice, 10g oats, 10g rice, 10g peanuts, 2 walnuts, 2 jujubes, 600ml water.
PS: Generally, when mothers cook rice pudding, they add a large amount of refined white rice and a small amount of other auxiliary ingredients. This method is relatively simple and has limited nutritional value, so I put less rice so that the baby can fully enjoy the nutrition of other ingredients.
2.2. Brown rice and peanuts are not easy to cook, so they need to be washed in advance and soaked for about 4 hours.
PS: If the indoor temperature is relatively high in summer, it is best to soak it in the refrigerator. Otherwise, if the temperature is too high, fermentation may occur after soaking, and many small bubbles may appear.
3.3. Soak jujube 15 minutes in advance, because jujube is not easy to clean, and the floating dust on the surface can be removed by soaking.
4.4. Remove the core from the jujube to prevent it from getting stuck in the baby's throat when eating.
PS: Regarding the question of whether to peel the jujubes, it’s very casual ~ I like to borrow the taste of jujubes, maybe I will eat them directly after cooking. If your baby likes to eat the jujubes inside, you can peel them after boiling them. This will make it easier to eat~
5.5. Rinse the rice, yellow rice, and oats with clean water. Clean and ready to use.
PS: When I made rice pudding today, I used oatmeal, which is different from the instant oats we used two days ago. In terms of nutritional value, oatmeal is better, and in terms of digestion benefits, instant oats are better. You can choose suitable ingredients according to your baby's age and digestive ability~
If you use instant oats, just add them two minutes before serving.
6.6. Mix all ingredients together.
7.7. Pour into the rice cooker, add 600ml of water, and cook for about 90 minutes.
PS: The eight-treasure porridge I made today is probably enough for a family of three. Moms can add or reduce ingredients according to the number of people.
8.8. After making it, you can give it to your baby. For smaller babies, mothers can crush the ingredients when making it.
PS: For example, you can try to crush walnuts and peanuts before boiling them to prevent your baby from choking on the large ingredients. In this way, babies can also drink sweet and delicious rice pudding.
