Generally, the clam is soaked in salt water at home to make it spit sand. If time permits, this is also a way. Take a pot of tap water and put it into the clam, and then drop a few drops of sesame oil to make the water surface form an oil film to separate the water from the air, so that the clam can breathe faster and spit sand. It takes about 2-3 hours for the clam to spit out the sediment.
2. Soak in warm water
It is also soaking, but compared with salt water, warm water can save a lot of time. We soak the clams in warm water of about 50 degrees. Because of the temperature, the clams will feel dangerous. They will absorb more water for self-protection and will actively spit sand. The most difficult thing is to master the temperature. In fact, as long as the hands feel hot, but they don't burn their mouths, the temperature is almost the same. It takes about 10 minutes for the clams to spit out the sand in warm water.
3. Shake back and forth
You can clean the sand of the clam without soaking, but it's a little cruel. Put the clam in a box, pour a little water, and then shake the container back and forth with your hands, just moderately. Shake the clam for about two minutes and it will be dizzy. Naturally, it will spit out a lot of sediment. After washing it with water once, it will be almost the same after shaking it three times.
4. drowning
The simplest method is to completely remove the sediment in the clam. Boil a pot of boiling water, put the clam in, cover the lid and take it out after one minute. Washing clams with clear water can clean the sand, but it is not recommended to use this method. After high temperature, the umami taste of clams will pass away and the meat of clams will get old.
