In order to get a realistic film effect, the relevant departments opened the Forbidden City for the first time to provide shooting scenes for the film. In the film, Baiguan went to court and Yuan Ming's remains were live performances.

Because most of the distant view of Yuanmingyuan had been destroyed at that time, in order to show the destroyed landscape, many scenes had to be done in real life without cg special effects technology at that time, so I set up a location in Changping, Beijing, and tried my best to restore these original scenes.

About Yuanmingyuan:

Yuanmingyuan is located in the northwest suburb of Beijing, adjacent to the Summer Palace. Built in 1709, it is a large royal park. The expansion of the four emperors here can be said to be the most beautiful garden in the world at that time. But1On June 6th, 860, the British and French allied forces invaded Beijing, looted the Yuanmingyuan and set fire to the buildings in the park.

It is said that the Yuanmingyuan at that time had artificial landscapes such as palaces, pavilions, pavilions, rivers, lakes and rockeries, and the scenery was beautiful. During the Qianlong period, some buildings were expanded and Wanchun Garden and Changchun Garden were built. Together with the original Yuanmingyuan, it is called Yuanming Three Gardens.
