How and when to keep crabs

1. Store at room temperature

If the room temperature can be kept between 15-25 degrees, the crabs can be kept at room temperature. We just need to put the crabs in a big pot and spray some water on it regularly to keep the humidity, this is also very convenient to keep the crabs for 3-5 days.

2. Aquaculture

We can also put the crabs that we can't finish in a bucket, which is very deep and has a smooth dead surface to prevent the crabs from climbing out. Then we pour a little water into the bucket. Be careful not to put too much water in, and never eat the crabs, otherwise the oxygen in the water will run out and the crabs will suffocate. Adding a little water will keep the crabs moist. Then put in some sesame powder, crushed eggs and other food, so that the crabs can be preserved for 5-10 days, and you can eat them whenever you catch them, very fresh.

3. Chilling in the refrigerator

The last method is to tie the legs of the crabs with a rope and put them into the refrigerator, then cover the crabs with a wet towel to keep them fresh, so that the crabs can be kept fresh for 2-3 days. The purpose of tying the crab legs is to reduce the physical exertion of the crab and prolong its life. The wet towel is used to keep the crab moist and must not be missing.

Another point to note is that every time you eat a crab, it is best to choose a crab that is not vital so that the fresher crab can be preserved. To determine whether a crab is vital or not, touch the crab's eyes with your hand. If it responds quickly, it proves to be lively. If it is not responsive, it proves that it is not vital and needs to be eaten immediately.
