How many episodes were there when The Journey to the West aired in the 1980s? Why are there only 25 episodes replayed? How can I see the complete works of the original edition?
Not every story in the book was filmed in the first 25 episodes. It took a long time, because it was well-made, and they were shooting while studying novels, so it took three or six years (I forgot the details), unlike the current TV series, which was finished in just a few months.
