Treatment guidelines

Systemic anti-tuberculosis treatment combined with local drug treatment, and surgical treatment for patients with large lymph nodes or fistula formation.

Drug treatment

Anti-tuberculosis drug treatment must follow five principles: early stage, combination, appropriate amount, regularity and the whole process to ensure that the disease must be diagnosed and treated thoroughly. Systemic anti-tuberculosis treatment, commonly used drugs include isoniazid, rifampicin, pyrazinamide, ethambutol, streptomycin, etc. Local isoniazid and 0.25% procaine can be used to create a circular seal around the lesion.

Surgical treatment

Large and pushable lymph nodes can be surgically removed. For those with cold abscesses, ulcers, or sinus tracts, the pus can be drained and anti-tuberculosis drugs can be injected into the cavity; or the tuberculosis lesions can be scraped out and anti-tuberculosis drugs can be applied. After the wound heals, surgical removal can be performed if necessary.

Prognosis

Early treatment of the disease has a better prognosis.

Daily care

1. Take medicine correctly as directed by the doctor.

2. Regularly review liver and kidney function and blood routine.

3. Strengthen physical exercise, enhance the body's resistance, and promote the body's recovery.

4. Maintain a good attitude and a reasonable nutritious diet.

Dietary conditioning

Eat high-calorie, high-protein, and high-vitamin foods. The diet should be as diverse as possible to ensure that the patient has a good nutritional status and promote early recovery after surgery.
