Hazelnut trees should be planted mainly in the fall. Hazel trees begin to grow early, expanding buds are easy to fall off in the starting transportation. Before planting, the root system must be inspected, damaged roots are cut to healthy parts, and then dipped into a bucket of thin slurry containing black calcium soil to prevent the roots from drying out. Place the seedlings in the planting hole so that the root neck is lower than the topsoil by 5㎝~6㎝, and irrigate each plant with 2~3 buckets of water so that the soil sinks and the root system is closely connected.
