Dendrobium cultivation techniques and methods are as follows:
1, choose the soil
Dendrobium breeding is best to use loose and airy, well-drained soil, you can choose the granular peat, pine bark and gravel in the proportion of 4:4:2 mixed preparation.
2, water and fertilizer management
Dendrobium like moist environment, but can not water too much, so as to avoid the emergence of stagnant water rotten roots. When watering, it is best to spray the whole plant wet, so that the plant fully absorb water. Dendrobium watering has no specific number of requirements, as long as to ensure that the soil is moist. Watering can be appropriately reduced in cold winter. Dendrobium growing period, need to be applied every 7-10 days of rotting thin cake fertilizer water, winter dormant period can not be fertilized.
3, light temperature
Dendrobium like semi-shade environment, in the spring and summer light is strong, need to shade 60% -70%; in the winter dormant period, need more light, should be shaded 20% -30%. Dendrobium growth temperature between 15-30 degrees Celsius, winter temperature is best not lower than 5 degrees Celsius, day and night temperature difference is best not more than 15 degrees Celsius.
4, air humidity
Dendrobium was born in the tropical rainforest, like humid environment. Normally it is better to keep the humidity above 60%, not higher than 90% to avoid pests and diseases. When it is hot in summer, water should be sprayed around the plant frequently, and at the same time, air circulation should be strengthened to achieve the purpose of moisturizing and heat dissipation.
5, planting seedlings
Dendrobium is an epiphytic plant, as long as attached to other things (such as stones, tree poles, etc.) on top of the normal growth. Special attention, Dendrobium can not be planted in the soil. Dendrobium roots are aerial roots and will grow normally when exposed to air, so you must plant Dendrobium shallowly. If it is planted with pine bark block, you can bury two-thirds of the root into the bark block and leave one-third outside, which is more interested in dendrobium growth.
