Shopping centers: Tesco, New Tesco, Xinmawu, Wal-Mart, Women's Street, etc.
What to eat: Dandong fork (a kind of sour noodle made of corn flour), fried sand clam, raw juice yellow clam, toothpick conch (or garlic conch), sea rabbit with ginger sauce (which may not be available in many restaurants, you can eat the cooked sea rabbit with ginger juice, soy sauce and minced garlic), boiled shrimp crawfish and boiled white shrimp. These are all around 30 yuan. Sea crabs may be around 100 yuan a catty (one and a half a catty, although I am a local, but I can't afford it), and Dandong strawberries are better, that is, seven or eight yuan a catty. Mainly in Donggang.
Note: It is during May Day that accommodation in Dandong is particularly difficult to find.
