Guangdong Medical College, formerly known as Zhanjiang Branch of Sun Yat-sen Medical College, was founded in 1958, upgraded to a five-year medical undergraduate college in 1964, and renamed Zhanjiang Medical College in 1992. From where? Eight-five? At first, the school was identified as a key construction university in Guangdong Province for three consecutive five years. Since its establishment 52 years ago, it has made remarkable achievements. 1.960 was rated as an advanced unit in the national cultural and educational front, 1.978 won two scientific research achievements in the National Science Conference, and 1 won the first prize in the evaluation of running a school in Guangdong Province in 2005. The school covers an area of 1404 mu and consists of Zhanjiang campus and Dongguan campus. Zhanjiang Campus covers an area of 227 mu and is located in Zhanjiang, a coastal open city with subtropical customs. Dongguan Campus was founded in 2002, covering an area of 1 177 mu. It is located in the beautiful Songshan Lake Science and Technology Industrial Park in Dongguan, and began to recruit the first batch of freshmen in 2003. The school has 20,500 full-time students, including 746 undergraduates 1.97 million and postgraduates. There are 23,000 adult students in school.
