Sperm
matures. It undergoes a complex process. It takes about 3 months
or so
. The main
process
occurs in the
testicles
within the seminiferous tubules
The spermatozoa then travel along the tubules into the
epididididymis
. It remains in the head of the epididymis for about 2-3 weeks. It is only then that the sperm develops into a mature sperm that is ultimately capable of movement and fertilization. So it takes about 90 days for a
spermatogonial cell
to develop into a mature sperm.
The main methods of expulsion from the body
are spermatozoa and ejaculation.
