I. Difference

II. Pomegranate is a deciduous shrub or small tree, in the tropics is evergreen. The crown of the tree is tufted naturally rounded head-shaped. Tree roots yellow-brown. Strong growth, the inter-root is easy to produce rootstocks. Tree height up to 5-7m, usually 3-4m, but dwarf pomegranate only about 1m high or shorter. The trunk is gray-brown, with tuberous protrusions, and the stem is mostly twisted to the left.

There are many branches in the crown, and the shoots are angled and mostly square. Branchlets are pliable and not easily broken. Primary branches are staggered in opposite pairs on the vigorously growing branchlets, with small spines. The length of the thorns is related to the species and growth. The vigorous trees have more thorns, and the old trees have fewer thorns. Bud color varies with the season, with purple, green and orange.

Berry spherical, ovoid or pear-shaped, 3-8 cm long, with persistent sepals at the tip, flesh white and yellow, placenta plump, fleshy, light red; seeds numerous.
