Wenyin version of the Shuo Wen Jie Zi (说文解字):Han,漾也. East for the Canglang water. From water, difficult to save sound.
The vernacular version of Shuo Wen Jie Zi: Han, Yang River. The eastern section is called "Canglangshui". The character "水" is used as the side, and the omitted "难" is the sound side.
