Shiquan County is an excellent small town with amazing characteristics. The stone pot fish here is famous throughout the country and is a local delicacy. The local natural environment is very good and the ecological balance is well preserved. It is an ideal holiday destination.
Shiquan County, Ankang, Shaanxi, accidentally walked into this small town in southern Shaanxi, because our journey on the road had no purpose, just driving around. I passed by here on a business trip seven years ago and tasted the local delicacy - stone pot fish, but I had no impression of the attractions in this place.
Times have changed, and I feel very different this time. In addition to the fact that the stone pot fish is still so delicious, this county, which is surrounded by mountains and rivers, has undergone earth-shaking changes in just six or seven years. The county has become more beautiful, and several new tourist attractions have been built, such as Shiquan Ancient City, Qinba Customs Garden, etc.
First of all, we visited Shiquan Ancient City. The market was originally built along the river, and our ancestors have lived by the water since ancient times. Therefore, there are flood and drought piers such as Chihe Lianhua Ancient Ferry, Liuhou Youfangkan, Xihe Humei Street, Tietou Tongcheba, and Lianghe Sanxian Town, which are in harmony with the ancient city. The branches and vines are connected.
In the past years, the thousand-year-old ancient city, together with these ancient towns, has played an unspeakable role in the history of blooming flowers, just like the old wine in the deep alley, which has been kept secret for a long time.
Today, the ancient streets of the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the east and west gates have been restored to their original state. The ancient streets paved with bluestones are lined with shops, bustling with vendors and tourists, and full of life. The landmark buildings such as Yuwang Palace and Jiangxi Guild Hall standing in the city have been well restored and their charm is still there; the long water town, Daijia Lane, Chunxue Street, and Changsheng Lane still have deep and ancient colors; the ancient Chushu Inn, the setting for calligraphy and painting, and massage therapy Blended with the latest popular jackets and T-shirts, spicy barbecue, blowing, playing, playing and singing, it fully restores the vitality of the ancient city.
The second stop was to visit Qinba Customs Garden (also called Guiguzi Cultural Town, I didn’t know it at first and thought they were two attractions). The scenic spot is located in Yangjiaba on the west side of the county, adjacent to the Raofeng River and 3 kilometers away from the county. The garden is full of flowers, and the different varieties and colors of roses are spectacular.
The architectural style is mainly based on imitation of the ancient buildings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, supplemented by the Bashu architectural style, and the southern Shaanxi architectural style as the focus. We strive to create a cultural display base with Guiguzi culture as the main theme and the Spring and Autumn and Warring States themes as the supplement. Gui Guzi, a native of Chu during the Warring States Period, was a famous military strategist in the history of our country. It is said that he lived in seclusion in Guigu Ridge of Shiquan. It’s really unknown.
Because we heard that Gui Guzi is the smartest person in history, we stayed in this small Bagua courtyard named after "Zhiyuan" for a long time, maybe we can get in touch with the immortal energy of the god with the highest IQ. There is also a museum with the theme of "sericulture". I took a cursory look. The "gilt copper silkworms" unearthed locally in 1984 prove that the area was once a node on the Silk Road (sericulture was very important in ancient times).
It was already afternoon when we left Qinba Customs Garden. We were hungry and wanted to go back to the county town to eat the famous Bobo Stone Pot Fish recommended by the locals. But thinking about the time and route back, I had to take a detour, so I decided to order stone pot fish, which cost 25 yuan for the bottom of the pot and 38 yuan per pound at a restaurant opposite the Customs Park.
The two of us ordered a small one, about 4 pounds. The boss's family is very welcoming. I witnessed the whole process of catching, killing and cooking fish. The boss and his wife did exquisite workmanship, it was clean and hygienic, and it took less than half an hour. The stone pot is served, the red oil has a slightly spicy base and the aroma is overflowing. Place the sliced ??raw fish on a plate ready to be cooked. There are even fish eggs. It was my first time to eat fish eggs. The bright yellow fish eggs felt like millet. They eat it dipped in spices. I heard they are good for my eyesight. To be honest, this stone pot fish is really, really delicious, but that’s all.
