In contrast, Texas Grilled Chicken is a traditional Chinese cuisine with a long history and rich cultural connotations. According to the history books, the origin of Dezhou steak chicken was in the Ming Dynasty, more than 600 years ago. This dish is made of carefully selected materials, exquisite cooking skills, delicious flavor and rich in nutrients.
More importantly, as a local specialty, Dezhou Grilled Chicken carries the food culture and folk customs of the Dezhou area. Therefore, it is well deserved that Dezhou Steak Chicken is recognized as a national non-legacy food production technology project.
Historical Origins of Mapo Tofu
Mapo Tofu was first created in the first year of the Tongzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1862) in Chengdu, by the Wanfu Bridge, in a store formerly known as the "Chen Hing Sheng Dining Room". The owner, Chen Chunfu (Chen Senfu), died early, and the small restaurant was run by the owner's wife, who was known as "Chen Ma-po" (陈麻婆), because of her slightly numb face.
The Wanfu Bridge was a bridge that crossed the Fu River, and there were often people who had to work hard to get there. Those who patronized the restaurant were mainly footmen who picked oil. Chen has a unique set of cooking skills for cooking tofu, cooked tofu color and flavor, loved by the people, she created the roasted tofu, known as "Chen Ma Po tofu", the food store later also named "Chen Ma Po tofu store".
The history of Ma-Po Chen's creation of Ma-Po Tofu is described in books such as "Bamboo Words of the City of Jin" and "Hibiscus Records of the Past". According to the "Chengdu Overview", Chen Ma Po Tofu was recognized as a famous food in Chengdu in the late Qing Dynasty.
